There’s a subtle beauty in how the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ dealt with different people in different situations, always with wisdom, always with love. I want to share something from his blessed life that carries a gentle but powerful reminder for all of us. When he ﷺ went to Ṭā’if, the people mocked him, hurt him, and rejected his message. Despite the pain, he didn’t curse them. Instead, he raised his hands and prayed for their guidance, saying maybe the next generation would believe. He showed mercy to strangers, those who didn’t yet know him or his message. But during the Battle of Tabuk, when a few of his close companions stayed behind without excuse, like Ka‘b ibn Malik (RA), the Prophet ﷺ didn’t punish or scold them. Instead, he became silent. He distanced himself for a time. That silence was a reflection of how deeply he cared. He expected more, not out of anger, but because of the bond he shared with them, and the trust he placed in them. This teaches us something profound: mercy remains, but the closer the bond, the deeper the concern. Love isn’t always soft, sometimes it holds back, hoping to awaken something greater in the one it loves.
Dear Ummah, your absence is felt. Not just because you missed a class, but because your presence matters. Each one of you brings light to this journey of learning. If you’re facing difficulty, we’re here. If life feels overwhelming, don’t carry the weight alone. But if you’ve simply drifted away, we gently remind you: you’re capable of more, and we believe in you.
With prayers and care,
Kanwal Saif
